I am creating this profile for my daughter Shreya who has completed her Masters in Human Development and Childhood Studies and has done certificate courses in child psychology and dance therapy for the specially abled and is interested in pursuing a career in this field. She is also interested in dancing and has learnt Kathak and Bharatnatyam as a beginner. It should be mentioned that she has a hearing impairment which occurred after birth but she can hear quite well and has excellent speech in both Hindi English. Once she knows the person, she combines the hearing with lip reading to understand the other person. Even though she is South Indian, she has lived in Delhi all along and does not have fluent knowledge of Tamil. We are modern family with traditional values. Her parents are self employed legal service professionals. We are an upper middle class/affluent family. We are looking for a groom who will be understanding of her mild disability.
